Buried at the Beach

My favorite is when kids will play with Katelyn at the beach. Otherwise I am chasing her around trying to play with her-but she is over me! And usually it becomes a game of stop eating the sand. So this time, a former student and his little sisters and friends fell in love with her and would have played with her all day except after awhile it was a little overstimulation for her.

Watermelon

This was the first time Katelyn had free reign of a huge piece of food. And she loves her food. So I thought this was going to be great. So I got an adorable shot of her shoving her face in it. But really that was only for a few seconds. Its the behind the scenes pics that are just as priceless.

Looking for Elmo!

Okay, summer is almost over and I will go back to work. I need to get in as many silly videos and pictures as possible, because the school year keeps me a little busier.
Katelyn was cracking me up, she was crawling all over, not realizing Elmo was along for the ride. I just caught the tail end!

Big Girl

Katelyn is 10 months and crawling and climbing all over everything. She is really trying to stand on her own, but doesn't quite trust herself yet. I would love for her to take her first steps before I go back to work! She has 18 days! No pressure.

Every Sunday

Most Sundays you can find our little family at Stagecoach Park. Scott plays on the La Costa Men's over 35 league. He has been on the same team since before I met him. Its a very family oriented league where the trash talk is a given but it is all in good fun. Beers flow, music blares and everyone loves Katelyn. Katelyn goes mainly to see the dogs though. Give her a year or less and I will have her cheering. Scott takes her into the dugout and calls her the "Rally Baby."

Bob and Denise in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

Everyone says you have to see their house. It is everything people say and more! It is like you are staying at a 5 star resort. We had such a great time, relaxing on their deck or in their gazebo, or playing football on their lawn, and taking the boat out. We also had a Fish Fry and Denise's sons and Bob's brother and his wife came over too. Good food with family, nothing better.

Cabin in Spearfish, South Dakota

Next stop.. the cabin. We were lucky to have Mickey and John host us. They really showed us the ropes. One full day of the Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park where we had a picnic around the most beautiful lake I have ever seen, and Mt Rushmore! Amazing day. But this was the turning point for the carseat and my daughter. They were to be at peace no more.
The cabin is perfect! Nestled in the trees, with a creek cascading steps from the front door. We biked to take a few hikes with John and found waterfalls and beautiful panoramic views. We went into Deadwood and watched a good ol reenactment shootout, and visited a gold mine. Pure adventure!

The Toav's House in Fort Peck, Montana

Visiting Scott's sister, Tammey's family in Montana was first stop on our Summer Trip 2010. We loved their beautiful house on the lake. We went on their ATVs, kayaks, and boat. They are really living the life out there. I loved to see Katelyn having the time of her life with her cousins. Hannah's patience feeding her and Trevor's yo-yo kept Kate's attention the whole time.
