First Day of Soccer

We signed Katelyn up for a soccer class at Aviara Park. So cute. She loves the games they play. Pretty adorable to see her "dribble" the ball and then when she wants to turn it, she bends down to change the direction of the ball with her hands.

Trick or Treat

We had a little ladybug, Curious George,
a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Tinkerbell.

Two Day Adventure

We spent two beautiful days at Disneyland and California Adventure with the Scobles, Mama and Papa, and the Johnsons.

Katelyn's favorite ride was the Tea Cups and she loved meeting all the characters. She did not love the rides that were dark at any point! Another favorite was the Tiki Room and it's funny birds, the Merry Go Round, and the carnival games by the ferris wheel in CA ADV.

Little Sis' Arrival

With the threat looming that "Baby Ballerina" was to be a ridiculously huge baby, we decided to have me induced a week early. At week 38, I was measuring 41 weeks. So we went in early on a Wednesday morning, trying to beat all the other inductions, to make sure we were given a room. Turned out to be a slow day, so there was no problem getting a room. We loved our nurses and the OB on call was are regular doc. "BB" took all day but I started pushing at about 6:45 and she was born at 6:57pm. Pretty easy, but a long day. She was perfect and immediately ready for the real world. She looked exactly like Katelyn, pretty scary how close they looked. Funny thing is, Katelyn was a week late, so I was induced with her too. And the same timeline  took place and she was born at 7:04pm, with just a couple of pushes. So much for our big baby-8 pounds! But super healthy and happy!

First Day of Summer Camp Preschool

So technically it is just summer camp Tues/Thur, but it is the preschool she will be going to in September. We just wanted to start before baby sis came along.

I think she was a little unsure of it all and what we were doing. But once she saw allt he kids playing on the playground in the morning, she ran off to join them. I made her give me a hug goodbye, and she was back to the slide! No tears! I'm not going to count on that happening every time in the next few weeks. But I will take the first day!

Man, she is growing up so fast this summer. I feel like just a few months ago she was still a little toddler. But she is seeming more like little girl now. We're so proud of her!

Gift for Sis

We had a fun day at North County Fair Mall the other day. Katelyn got to Build-a-Bear for her new baby sis. We all got to make a wish for the baby and place a special heart inside. Katelyn also got to name the bear, which was perfect. She likes to call the baby in my tummy, Ballerina. So she decided that we should name the bear, Ballerina. Hopefully this will help her get over the fact that the baby's name will not be Ballerina.

Also, the mall has a train that is not on a track and travels throughout the mall. Mama took the kids for a ride. They loved it!

The Dentist!

I feel like going to the dentist is like the ultimate judgement for if you are a good parent. I was so stressed about possible cavities or other issues. Brushing teeth has never been an easy task for our sweet angel. But everything looked good, and she was soooooo good. The hygenist was amazing and the dentist was great too. Another check off on the list of things to do before baby sis arrives!

Family of Three Day

We are heading into the last few weeks before baby and trying to have some fun with Katelyn, as a family. Scott took the morning off of work and we went to Chuck E. Cheese at 9am and had the place to ourselves. Then we took her to her first movie, Ice Age 4. Yes she had to go potty the second the official movie started and yes, we had constant narration throughout. Movies with a two year old!
