WE HAVE SENTENCES

She is almost a year and a half. Katelyn has always been so good with her animal noises.
What does a cow say? She says, "Mooooo."
But I would always add in people she knows.
What does daddy say?
I would teach her, everyone says, "I love you!"
But she would only say, "I," instead.
But just this week, she has started to say, "I wove oooo!" It is so sweet.
She also says, "Where ducks go?" or " Where dog go?" With the hand motions with palms up. So cute!

Daddy's Birthday

Lunch at the beach. Some drinks, Board n' Brew sandwiches, life is good. Scott wants to take her to the beach all the time now. She was in heaven! Running everywhere, unlimited digging, so much freedom, it was great. She isn't eating sand, but does throw it every once and awhile-we'll work on it. She is definitely at the age where the beach is now really fun for her and us!

She is growing up so quick now!

Naptime....

17 Months- waiting on the 10th tooth. Wearing 3T clothing. And no hair clips or bows!

Today I think I heard her say several new words. "Hot Dog" when the Mickey Mouse Club Hot Dog song came on, "Jacket" when I grabbed her jacket. She also has started calling out her cousins names on her own when she sees their pictures. It is all so exciting but makes me sad she is growing up so quickly.

She is so independent. After her bath I brush her teeth first, then she takes a turn. When I am cleaning up the bathroom, I tell her to do the laundry and she takes her clothes and puts them inside the washing machine. Sooo cute.

She loves to share her snacks and sippy cup with Elmo and her favorite monkey.

She loves to give Eskimo kisses and knuckles. Only blows kisses occasionally.

The long e sound goes on the end of must words. Brookie, Zachy, milky. I think it is because many of the things she loves have that sound at the end of the word. Mommy, Daddy, Monkey, Lovey.

She knows the sound to EVERY animal. We saw one Sesame Street where the frog burped and now she thinks a burp is the sound a frog makes. And hearing anybody else burp is sooooo funny.

Loves to count the 20 butterflies in her room before going down for the night. Her tiny flowered burp cloth is her official lovey and when she sees it she will suck her thumb. But really only sucks her thumb when she has it.

Sesame Street or any Elmo video can make her stop crying no matter how bad the nightmare, teething, or cough.

Still can't get a hair clip to stay in her hair for more than 10 seconds, but boy does she LOVE to point out everyone elses! Music class is torture because she focuses on that for the first 10 minutes.

She really would love to be able to jump, she tries so hard and loves to watch other people jump. But for now, pretending she can is just as fun.

She loves to undress and dress her dolls or stuffed animals.

Grandma says she would stay in the chicken coop all day if she let her. And Sophie, the german shepard is her favorite!

Til this day, I am not sure there has been a day gone by when she hasn't complained/cried about a bottle or sippy cup of milk that was empty or that bath time is over.

She is still a Daddy's Girl and I think will always be. It is so sweet to see them snuggle up on the couch together.

With a 17 month old I am really looking forward to this spring and summer. Warmer weather means more time outdoors and more freedom for her. Can't wait!!!
